Offel is a strategic addition to the Board of Directors as the Company enters its next phase of growth
CHICAGO, November 7, 2022 – Great Lakes Dental Partners (“GLDP” or “the Company”), today announced the appointment of Kevin Offel as Lead Independent Director of its Board of Directors. As Lead Independent Director, Offel will provide leadership to the independent directors, liaise with GLDP CEO Jeff McCall on behalf of the independent directors and advise the board on a variety of matters.
Backed by Shore Capital Partners (“Shore” or “Shore Capital”), a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on microcap investing, GLDP provides dental practice management services to 35+ partner locations, delivering best-in-class support in operations, recruiting, technology, marketing, and collaboration among clinicians.
Offel has more than 20 years of healthcare services experience and has served on three other Shore portfolio company Boards – EyeSouth Partners, Strongpoint Partners and Specialdocs Consultants. His most recent executive role was President and CEO of Centennial Hospice, a privately held hospice services provider based in Oklahoma City sold in 2020 to Traditions Health. Offel possesses broad multi-site healthcare experience, including significant dental expertise as the former President and CEO of My Dentist. At My Dentist, Offel oversaw significant growth, doubling revenue and expanding the provider base to over 110 dentists and 70 hygienists across 55 locations in five states. In addition to several other senior executive roles, Offel served as an Army Blackhawk helicopter pilot in multiple key leadership positions and is currently serving as a Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Oklahoma.
Offel succeeds Michael Burcham as Lead Independent Director. Burcham has assumed the role of Chief of Strategy and Talent Development at Shore and will remain on the GLDP Board.
